Who We Are

Catalyst Seminars and Speakers, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Florida on January 11, 2002. As the name "Catalyst" implies, we seek to initiate and produce fundamental change in organizations, individuals, or groups through professional and personal developmental experiences. Catalyst is a for-profit, minority, small business licensed and minority-certified by the City of Tallahassee and the State of Florida. We specialize in seminars for professional development, consultations to improve organizational and individual performance, and brokering speakers.

Although we are a new organization, our consultants are seasoned and highly experienced professionals in their selected fields. They have distinguished records of achievement in a variety of influential government and private positions. Most have worked together in a wide array of venues over the past 10-20 years. As their profiles illustrate, Catalyst consultants are polished and have stellar histories of success.

In today's world, speed is not only sought but also required. Multitasking is no longer a specialty, but a basic skill. Information management is necessary to survive. Further, the ability to handle stressful situations and constant change in our personal, social and professional lives is the only means to maintain sanity. Living, working, and being productive in a world of diverse people, options, and ideas requires flexibility, broadened perspectives, and an appreciation for differences. Appropriate and continuing developmental experiences and a solutions orientation are at the heart of healthy, productive living. Catalyst interventions seek to address these issues and assist professionals in being productive and creative in a world of constant change

Our seminars and consultations are customer driven, solution oriented and are based on current issues relevant to today's workplace, professional, and personal development. Upon request, training, like consultation, is tailored to the specific needs of an organization. This tailoring may be as complex as site visits and observations of the work/operational site, interviews, surveys and other information gathering that allows Catalyst to ascertain the needs of participants. Tailoring may also require follow-up to the initial session(s) or serial sessions. Or, it could be as simple as a request by the organization or participants for specific issues or areas to be covered. The duration of "tailored" development will be determined by the nature of the experiences and the agreement between Catalyst and the contracting organization.

Catalyst, because of the diversity of experiences and expertise of its associates, has the ability to offer training, seminars, and consultations on a wide variety of topics and areas. Among these are Leadership Development, Management Solutions,; Competency Development, Cultural and Racial Diversity, Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Team Building, Customer Service, A Series of Personal Development and Special Interest Seminars, Communications, Train-the-Trainer,; Writing to Publish, and a host of other topics.

In addition to seminars, consultations, and training, Catalyst will sponsor Institutes of one-week duration with continuing follow-up. Among the areas to be addressed by the institutes are: Leadership Development and Southeastern Public Policy. The institutes will be conducted in serene settings with the Magnolia Leaf Bed & Business Retreat in Thomasville, Georgia serving as the lead setting. Consultants with significant experiences and positive results will serve as the facilitators and trainers for these sessions. Participants may be individuals seeking to improve or gain additional information and competence in these areas or the sessions may be conducted for a contracting organization, etc. The session's content will be based on best practices as well as the needs and request of the participants and contracting organizations. Significant information gathering and analysis will mark the preparation for these sessions with follow-up as needed.

Special Events

Another service offered by Catalyst is Speakers for Special Events. Prominent among these are Dr. Dudley Flood, Bishop Adam J. Richardson, Dr. Jack Gant, Ralph Mitchell, and Altha Manning, among others.

Catalyst principals have a wealth of experience in human resource development, management and leadership in a wide variety of areas and venues. Resumes will be provided for each associate who is assigned to work on a proposed contract.

Additional associates with equal credibility and expertise in these and other areas are also available.
